  • Harmonic Chair
Harmonic Chair is an answer for a task assigned to young polish designers in 2012.

Elle Decoration magazine, supported by Vitra, CSW Zamek Ujazdowski and Zamek Cieszyn asked the designers to create a product, inspired by one of the three design icons. „Harmonic Chair” starts a narration with the „Organic Chair” designed by C. Eames & E. Saarinen in 1940.

Organic Chair, which was developed in 1940 for the competition 'Organic Design in Home Furnishings' organised by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, was ahead of the times.
Similarly, the Harmonic Chair designed by Maciek explores the newest technology. It is made of sheet of aluminum — a material that can be manufactured and processed ecologically and gains popularity in production of highly specialized electronics or furniture industry. Thanks to CAD tools it was possible to easily compose planar surfaces, cut out of 5mm aluminum sheet and precisely folded.
That harmonic way of shaping brought the name: Harmonic Chair.

"In turns" is a design experiment involving young Polish designers. Each group member created one object and incorporated it into a series of interventions introduced by others. The title motif, 'in turns', refers to the method of work which will result in a collection of functional objects, a recording of features of all designers who decided to intervene.
At the same time, the title of the project touches upon the nature of 'turn' as a 'change'. The key aspect of the whole is the design process and subsequent stages of development, documented and presented in the form of a video during the exhibition.

"Na zmianę" to eksperyment projektowy z udziałem młodych polskich designerów. Każdy z członków grupy stworzył jeden obiekt
i włączył go w cykl ingerencji przez pozostałych "sprawców". Tytułowe hasło "na zmianę" opisuje metodę pracy, w której efekcie powstała kolekcja funkcjonalnych obiektów, będących jednocześnie zapisem cech wszystkich projektantów, którzy podjęli się ingerencji. Kluczowym aspektem całości jest proces projektowania i kolejne etapy rozwoju, które zostały udokumentowane i zaprezentowane
w postaci filmu podczas Łódź Design Festival.

A school project for the competition by Hansgrohe.

An approach to the topic of “Water Conservation”. The water tank’s transparent casing allows one to observe how much water is being used while washing up. This prompts the user to be conscious of conservation.
You can disconnect the system and use the tap in a traditional manner.

The project was awarded 3rd prize in the Design Ideas – Hansgrohe 2006 competition and has been exhibited at 5th International Design Biennial Saint-Etienne, 2006.

  • Operalab
An approach to the competition organized by Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa in Warsaw and BMW, in 2012–13:

The aim of the competition was the selection and realisation of the concept of a mobile pavilion, allowing the OperaLab Project to perform a number of artistic and intellectual activities — from exhibition presentations, through film screenings, ballet and opera presentations, to concerts and discussion panels. The form of the pavilion should communicate the innovative character of the project, amalgamating many artistic disciplines and carry the identity of Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa and BMW, creating a dialogue with the urban space.

According to the assumptions of the competition for the design of a mobile exhibition pavilion, constituting the core of the activity of OperaLab the pavilion should be built from renewable materials and its structure should be flexible and easy to assemble and dismantle. An important aspect of the project is a creative reference to the architectural identity of Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa and its interpretation using modern forms of expression and the idea of innovative mobility — the identity core of the BMW brand. The mobile pavilion should consist of modules, so that it can be easily adapted both in an open urban space and indoors, with particular emphasis put on the space of Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa.

The structure of the pavilion should be based on easy transformation, allowing a wide range of activities, including exhibitions, organisation of meetings, film screenings or the organisation of intimate shows.
The production cost should not exceed PLN 200,000 (€ 50,000).

  • PAW
A proposition to promote Warsaw by showing the advantages of city parks. A simplified map shows the locations of parks and the connections between them, how to reach them, and also, importantly, it shows the parks in terms of their nature (e.g. the amount of green).

The complete system includes a number of information boards (citywide, inside the parks and held at entrances to parks), maps and signs, as well as leaflets promoting Warsaw's parks.

In many ways, the system is visually consistent with the current City Wayfinding System (MSI).

The project is almost ready for implementation — to begin to implement it, the involvement of city authorities is necessary, namely: District Offices, Municipal Department of Sanitation, Municipal Department of Public Areas, National Museum in Warsaw...
